I have found learning post school to be incredibly useful. You might think learning stops after going to school but that couldn’t be further from the truth. There are so many resources out on the internet to help you understand whatever topic it is that you are seeking information from.
The number one tool I use to learn about a new topic is audio books. Audio books are great because pretty much everyone has to drive to work. During this time driving to work and driving home from work, I pop on whatever audio book I’m currently listening to. By doing this, it serves two purposes.
The first purpose it serves is to learn about the topic I’m interested in. There are so many different audio books out there that you could listen to several of them in your desired topic. You can literally become a master on a topic just by doing this method.
The second purpose listening to these books on an almost daily basis is it serves as a constant reminder to yourself why specifically you are wanting to learn about this topic. If you’re trying to push towards a certain goal for a side project, this daily reminder will help you stay on track to reach that goal.
Other forms of learning/research I do is just YouTube or Google. Pretty much anything you are seeking more information about has already been talked about on the internet. Its amazing how everything is available at your fingertips which costs you no money to access. How I created my website, blog, email signature, shopping cart, bio, etc was all learned through Googling and YouTube tutorials.
I find continuous learning so important because it keeps you from being stuck in the hamster wheel of life (doing the same thing over and over) and allows you to break free from that continuous cycle in efforts (for me), to get out of the rat race. What is the rat race? You can find out how to get out of the rat race (even if you don’t know you’re in it), with my next blog post.
